An exceptional quality early 20th-century occasional table by the renowned Scottish cabinet makers, Andrew Thomson & Sons of Port Eglinton, Glasgow. Produced circa 1920, this piece is a fine example of the Regency Revival style, combining elegant Georgian proportions with the superior craftsmanship of the Scottish trade.

The oval top features a striking book-matched burr walnut veneer, celebrated for its complex, swirling grain and deep, golden-honey patina. The surface is framed by a crossbanded border and fine stringing, demonstrating the high level of detail typical of Thomson’s bespoke workshop.

The top rests on a solid wood turned baluster column, raised on a classic tripod base with swept legs and pad feet. The table has been professionally polished to showcase the natural beauty of the timber while retaining its period character.

A versatile and elegant piece of history, perfect for use as a wine table, lamp stand, or sofa end table.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Professionally inspected and polished.
